HRM Regent Mofebisola Oyebade-Omopeloye is our choice for the Personality of the Month of February, 2022. Regent (as generally known in the Yoruba tradition) ‘Febisola became the regent of Ogotun-Ekiti after the demise of HRM Oba Samuel Oladapo Oyebade the Ologotun of Ogotun-Ekiti in September 2021. The energetic, resourceful beautiful Regent is a lover of peace, gentle, outgoing, friendly, fun to be with and works well within a team either as a member or leader. She has the ability to work and communicate with people at all levels of an organization and a business process. She diligently works towards getting desired results and she has an unquenchable desire for hard work and integrity, hence her choice to fill the vacuum left by his father, Oba Oyebade, the former Chairman of the Ekiti State Council of Obas.HRM Regent Febisola has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Redeemer’s University Naigeria in 2014 and a Master’s Degree in Media and Communications from Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos in 2017.Driven by the passion to see that the mat weaving women of Ogotun-Ekiti has a market for their mats and that the long time heritage of local mat weaving craft in the ancient town does not go into extinct, she started a social enterprise called Estera Concepts in December 2015, weeks after she returned home from serving her fatherland at Minna, Niger State. Estera Concepts created contemporary items such as bags, footwears, tablemats, coasters, memopads, keyholders, wallclock and handfan among others from the mats and they are made to meet global standards and are being used as Souvenirs as far as Europe. Over the years, the business has done well and they continue to add other new products.The current Community Leader of Ogotun-Ekiti had her first work experience as an intern at Metro FM, Ikoyi, Lagos as an intern in 2012. She learnt the nitty gritty of broadcasting. In 2013, she was an intern at Mediatek, she learnt and mastered media buying and she secured a place for herself at the firm. She returned to work at the firm in 2014 before she went to Niger State for the one year of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. She returned to Mediatek in 2016 after NYSC. In 2017, she worked at Metro African Express and then at Forte Oil Plc as Sales Audit Analyst from 2019 to 2020 and in 2020, she resumed as an Administrator at Walk of Intimacy Christain Ministry until she was called to finish her Father’s tenure and serve her people as the Omogoropo of Ogotun-Ekiti, a position she currently occupies. The February 27th born princess is a lovely wife and a dedicated mother.
